Eden Caceda is a journalist, film critic, editor, photographer, radio talent, media personality and entrepreneur from Sydney, Australia.
Eden began his career as a journalist for the University of Sydney Union’s monthly BULL Magazine in 2013, becoming editor of the publication the next year. Eden also took on the position of radio host of ‘The Experience Project’ program on SURG FM from 2013 until 2015. In 2013, Eden started his popular film blog edencaceda.com, that has expanded to report on politics, fashion, technology, travel and culture, after studying a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences in English and Film.
In 2014, Eden became a film critic for Filmink, The Reel Word, Aphra Magazine and CelebrityOz (discontinued in 2016). He became a contributing writer to Hijacked and was named a reporter for University of Sydney newspaper Honi Soit. In November, Eden contributed to Fairfax Media’s Sydney Morning Herald and was syndicated in The Brisbane Times, The Canberra Times, WA Today and The Age. Eden became an editor of the Honi Soit Autonomous Collective Against Racism Edition and adopted the role of editor in chief the following year.
Eden had a huge year in 2015 – he co-found and became editor of ARMED, contributor to Buzzfeed Community, contributing journalist to Junkee, film critic at OuttaGum and writer for The Australia Times. Eden was elected as Publications Director of the Sydney Arts Students Society at the University of Sydney and was named editor in chief for the 2016 ARNA Literary Journal.
in 2016, Eden became Host and Executive Producer of ‘The Vulture’s Nest’ at 2ser 107.3 on Saturday mornings. Eden has also gone into production for his new interview series and has taken the position of Managing Director for fashion label start up crbn.
Eden has established himself as a celebrity interviewer on the red carpet and for feature articles, chatting with the most sought out local and international personalities of the moment, with a list that includes Jacki Weaver, Ita Buttrose, Matthew Mitcham. Jessica Mauboy, Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Bindi Irwin.
Currently a freelance journalist, Eden continues to cover entertainment, human rights, race, LGBTIQ issues and current affairs. Many of his reviews continue to appear on Rotten Tomatoes.
Since 2013, Eden has been featured in the media, including The Project, 2GB 873 and 2UE 954. He has been a guest on SYN 90.7 FM and 2SER 107.3 FM, talking pop culture, news and entertainment. Eden regularly reports from event and has attended the Logie Awards, AACTA Awards, ARIA Awards, Helpmann Awards and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
