Last night Eden Caceda hit up the ARIA Awards red carpet at The Star in Sydney. He spoke to some of the biggest names in music to see what they’re up to over the summer.
Kristian “Krit” Schmidt, MTV VJ
Eden: What’s the plan for the next few months?
Krit: This summer I’m heading home to New Zealand and seeing a lot of my family and friends. There’ll be a lot of barbecues, a lot of beach time. Also catching up on my favourite shows and getting up to date on American Horror Story: Hotel and How To Get Away With Murder. I really just hope to relax as much as possible.
Anja Nissen, The Voice winner 2014
Eden: What’s your summer look like right now?
Anja: I actually won’t be getting a summer! I’m going to Denmark on Sunday and it’s winter over there, so no summer for me. I’m heading over there for three months, so that’s my idea of “summer”!
Carissa Walford, Channel V host
Eden: What are you up to over the holiday break? Will you be relaxing or still working hard?
Carissa: I have not stopped this year. I have my own show on Channel V, V Trending, so I think this summer I’m gonna chill and do the real Australian thing and kind of hang out with family and friends and go to the beach. Hopefully I get a good tan.
Taylor Henderson, The X Factor runner up 2013
Eden: You’re in the middle of working on your new album, so will you get a break at the end of the year?
Taylor: Well, this is the last month I get to really write and finalise the album, then it’s straight into the new year with it being released, first single, tour, promotions. It’s gonna be awesome.
Short Stack, pop punk band
Eden: How’s your summer looking?
Short Stack: We’re heading on our tour in January and there’ll be a lot of surfing and enjoying the good Aussie weather.
Tim Omaji (Timomatic), former So You Think You Can Dance and Australia’s Got Talent contestant
Eden: How will you be celebrating the Australian summer?
Tim: I’ll be going up to Brisbane for a bit of a road trip and I’ll just be jamming and making new music!
Danny Clayton, Channel V host
Eden: What’s your summer going to be like?
Danny: A lot of surfing and avoiding trampoline parks. Hopefully getting myself an allover tan – if you know what I mean. I’ll be somewhere on a beach with my dingus out, and I hope nobody finds out what beach that is.
Jai Waetford, The X Factor Australia contestant 2013
Eden: You just got back from LA so what will you be doing first?
Jai: I’m gonna go home and see my family so I’m just going to relax, hang out with mates and just chill with the fam.
Jessica Mauboy, singer and actress
Eden: What are you up to this summer?
Jessica: I’m going back home to Darwin and spending time with my family and friends who I haven’t seen in about a year and a bit, so it’ll be really nice to get back to culture and get back to family. I miss them all so much!
